KENDRICK LAMAR

VERY PROUD MOMENT FOR AFRICAN AMERICANS WORLDWIDE.

To kill a mockingbird? But

"To pimp a butterfly... " although Taylor Swift won "Album of the Year" last night, this is by far the best thing I've heard in 2015 other than "Forrest Hill Drive" by Jcole. But to jump back into Kendrick's Lamar performance it was incredible from him coming out in shackles with all black men behind him symbolizing the faces of our prison systems to him surrounding a pit fire with a very tribal scene. It kind of reminded me of Busta Rhymes video in 1997 "Put your hands where my eyes can see" with the neon colors and once again tribal scene. Although I couldn't watch that video at night as a kid, I was creeped out Ha. He then ended it with an outstanding piece. Very huge night for Kendrick Lamar! Nominated for 11 Grammys and he won five which we can all agree it made us very proud, and for winning the best rap album of the year he then gave recognition to Nas & Snoop who's work changed his life and never got recognition for it. Kendrick Lamar once said "Why lie to the people as if these are "happy days?" when we are living in troubled times.. "

STAY WOKE.
