STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO PEOPLE YOU SEE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

1. You're already DOPE!

2. ''Likes'' don't pay bills.

3. There's enough room for you to flourish too. (DON"T LET COMPARISON DESTROY YOU)

4. IT"S OKAY TO NOT HAVE YOUR SH*T TOGETHER.

5.  I BELIEVE IN YOU, YOU GOT THIS!

Have you ever compared yourself to someone whether it was to boost your ego, or because honestly, you felt like this person’s physical appearance, big house, the level of education, fancy car, or the fact that, that picture perfect "Instagram" couple is something you wish you could had? No? Can't relate? We all have. Maybe not those things I mentioned but you have. Beyonce' counts too.... Comparing yourself to others can create negative self-talk, depression and could also become a distraction to the things you want to do because you are too busy comparing yourself to someone you never even met. You may think those people you follow on social media don't have problems or that their lives are great because of the things they display but we all endure some kind of pain and go through the motions of life. NO ONE IS PERFECT.

1.YOU'RE ALREADY DOPE! I bet you $10 that you are just as dope as I think you are and this is just for the record... SOCIAL MEDIA JUST ISN"T FOR EVERYONE! Don't let ''likes'' stand in between you and your dopeness. Just because you have ''11 likes'' and Boo boo kitty has ''365 likes'' for showing a side boob that doesn't mean her life is better than yours. Continue to do you and focus on yourself.

2. LIKES DON'T PAY BILLS it may help you with ''exposure'' but that's about it. If ''likes'' could pay bills I would be living the life, but I am NOT but all and all I am happy and that's all that matters. (But if anyone has the connections help a sista out.....ha) "Likes'' isn't something to stress over here's my secret I started out using ''hashtags'' when I first started using Instagram until Luvvie Ajayi let me know I was doing entirely too much in her book called ''I'm Judging You: The Do-Better Manual''  Here’s a another TIP: twenty or more hashtags is way too much 10-15 is the bare minimum ha!

3. THERE'S ROOM FOR YOU TO FLOURISH TOO need advice on how? Refer back to the bold front from number 1.

4. IT"S OKAY FOR YOU NOT TO HAVE YOUR SH*T TOGETHER! I am someone who always felt like I had to have my sh*t together ALL the time. Yes, it gets overwhelming for me at times... I can't even begin to tell you guys how many times I ended up in the hospital for the lack of sleep, energy, and mental care I was providing myself. All because I felt like if I don't have it all I will ''lack'' but still I found myself lacking because I wasn’t where I needed to be mentality. Take it easy on yourself, being too hard on yourself could cause a lot dysfunction.

I was recently on the phone with one of my friends and he said to me ''I get depressed when I see people my age on social media living better than me.'' Those were his exact words and do you know I went off on him? HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW GOOD SOMEONE LIFE IS BASED ON A PICTURE? Can someone take this picture of me in the White House and I'll post that I am the first black woman president of the United States?  #Itsanewsheriffintownrespectmyrealness.

YOU may feel like you aren't living the best life because of the people you follow on social media but guess what? The Universe isn't expecting anything from you! You probably showed up on this planet unexpectedly or maybe planned but either way, the Universe is happy to have you here and you owe it NOTHING! So live your life beyond social media, don't let comparing your life to others destroy you, SHOW UP FOR YOU and again REMEMBER YOU GOT THIS!!!!!! ALSO AND IF PEOPLE YOU FOLLOW MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO BE PERFECT ALL THE TIME IT’S TIME TO UNFOLLOW THEM BECAUSE IT’S NOT REALISTIC! BE YOU! DO YOU! XO.
