Who is Rei Kawakubo?

So..... like Rihanna I did my homework.

Rei Kawakubo, is a designer who doesn't play by the rules of fashion and is recognized as the MOST IMPORTANT DESIGNER and retailer of her time. She only works in three shades of black and for more than 40 years of making clothing, she's never thought of fashion. Kawakubo work is ART, I've never seen anything more unique. I've never heard anyone express how they feel about fashion how she does. In 1981 Kawakubo debuted her first show in Paris. In 1996 Rei Kawakubo became the founder Comme des Garcons in Tokyo. Most of you may have heard of ''Comme des Garcons'' because of the collection with Converse. Kawakubo has made it clear that she makes clothes for women that don't care what their husband or anyone else for that matter and for something to be BEAUTIFUL it doesn't have to be PRETTY. In honor of her amazing work, Rei Kawakubo was last night's inspiration and the theme for 2017 MET GALA.

Badgirl RiRi didn't play fair last night and WE WERE ALL HERE FOR IT! It's Rihanna for crying out laugh out how could you expect anything less from her when she gives us life on a regular basis? From that beautiful pigmented highlight, to the garment itself and let's for those shoes which she said took her an hour to get in. I can't even describe how amazing this look was on her, my mind is still blown and it's the day after! Why pay tribute if you aren't going to actually wear the designer? ha! Well done Rihanna you've done it again Queen thank you again for appreciating Kawakubo's art and owning it!
